Persecution of free speech in Canada continues
Since 2020, when the pandemic started, many people—particularly those in the medical field—were persecuted for openly speaking out against COVID-19 restrictions and mandatory vaccination. I will name just a few, such as Dr. Hoff, Dr. Nagase, Dr. Trozzi , Dr. Stephen Malthouse, Dr. Makis and others. Unfortunately, no doctor from our community or region spoke up.
But these unprecedented measures did not end after the COVID-19 plandemic was officially declared over.
Recently, a former emergency nurse and former member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Sean Taylor, was fired in October 2021 for non-compliance with the mandatory vaccination policy. He later lost his licence as a registered nurse. Now, according to a decision by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), he has been ordered to pay $21,900 CAD for allegedly breaching the BCCNM’s Professional Standards and/or Practice Standards, including the Professional Responsibility and Accountability, Knowledge-Based Practice, and Ethical Practice Professional Standards.
The BCCNM determined that his conduct also constituted professional misconduct, unprofessional conduct, and/or a breach of the Act or bylaws under section 39(1) of the Act.
All of this, simply because he openly criticized COVID-19 mandates and restrictions online, in interviews and during his campaign for the federal election, when he ran as a candidate for the PPC of Canada in 2021.

Another example is Sarah A. Choujounian-Abulu, who was known for her vocal criticism of COVID-19 policies and her participation in anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine advocacy, including opposition to mask mandates and vaccine passports. She argued that these policies harmed patients in long-term care facilities. She lost her job and her nursing licence and recently she was ordered by the College of Nurses of Ontario to pay $297,976.40.

It still happened, despite thousands of cases of death, strokes, and “turbo cancer” following COVID-19 vaccination. The committee questioning Anthony Fauci before Congress just proved that the whole “plandemic” was a poor hoax and that there is a master plan behind it.
One of the most unbelievable cases is the penalty imposed by the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal on former Chilliwack school trustee Barry Neufeld. He was ordered to pay $750,000 CAD in connection with his criticism of the LGBTQ+ agenda in schools. Neufeld argued that, in his opinion, certain aspects of these policies represented one of the worst forms of child abuse and criticized what he viewed as their promotion by the Liberal government since 2017.
That he was correct was, in his view, supported by the American College of Pediatricians, which, in an open letter to educators and legislators, urged them to reject policies that condition children to believe in the LGBTQ+ agenda. The letter contained eight critical points based on scientific references.

Meanwhile, the Alberta government has already taken a more common-sense approach by introducing Bill 25, which, starting in the 2026–27 school year, will remove LGBTQ+ flags and promotional materials from schools. As Education Minister Demetrios Nicolaides stated, the bill aims to keep schools neutral and focused on core academics rather than political or ideological issues.
And here we are: freedom in Canada is shrinking, and the chain is getting shorter.
History has shown us that tyranny rarely arrives overnight. It often begins quietly—with the silencing of critics, the marginalization of dissenting voices, and the gradual acceptance of restrictions that would once have been unthinkable.
Are we heading toward the kind of society envisioned in George Orwell’s 1984—a society shaped by pervasive surveillance, ever-present technology, and diminishing individual freedoms?
Time will tell, but it is really important to understand that whatever agenda is on the table, it is about us, the people. It is up to us whether we complain or push back against this agenda. A free society depends on people who are willing to ask difficult questions, challenge authority, defend open debate, and speak up when they believe something is wrong.
As president John F. Kennedy famously stated, “Without debate, without criticism, no administration and no country can succeed—and no republic can survive” .
The history of socialist countries have proven his words, and unfortunately, Canada is on the same track.
