Operation Roaring Lion

February 28, 2026 — Israel, in coordination with the United States, launched a large-scale air operation against targets in Iran on Saturday in what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called “Operation Roaring Lion.”  The strikes occurred just days after Israel joined US President  Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace.”

The strikes came after weeks of mounting political pressure and failed diplomatic efforts. In recent days, the United States had repositioned significant naval forces toward the Middle East. According to reports, nearly one-third of U.S. military vessels and equipment are now deployed in the region.

The operation targeted what officials described as Iran’s missile infrastructure, elements of its nuclear program, and military installations, including sites near Tehran and other major cities.

Iranian state-affiliated news agency Tasnim reported that at least 85 people were killed and 92 injured in a strike on a girls’ school in Minab. Earlier reports had placed the death toll at 60. Overall, Iranian sources stated that 201 people were killed and 747 injured nationwide within 24 hours. Independent verification of the casualty figures has not yet been confirmed.

Among those reported killed was Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran responded with missile and drone strikes targeting Israel and U.S. military bases across the Middle East. Four people were injured when debris from an intercepted Iranian missile fell in the Palm Jumeirah resort area of Dubai. In Abu Dhabi, one person was killed as a result of falling debris following the interception of Iranian missiles.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have broadcast warnings telling ships not to transit the Strait of Hormuz, and many vessels are avoiding the area as a result, but there is no confirmed formal or legal closure order issued by Iran’s government at this time. The waterway is the primary route for oil exports from the Persian Gulf region. Approximately 20% of the world’s oil supply passes through the strait.

Despite the scale of the attacks and retaliation, no country has formally declared war.

According to General Wesley Clark, former NATO commander in Europe, plans for the current war were laid years in advance. Clark said that in November 2001, a senior U.S. military officer in Washington told him the Bush administration intended to attack Iraq first, followed by Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Iran.

Clark stated that after the September 11, 2001 attacks, many officials in the Bush administration appeared determined to take action against Iraq, citing alleged state sponsorship of terrorism, “even though there was no evidence of Iraqi involvement in 9/11 whatsoever.”

The attacks on seven Muslim-majority countries destabilized the Middle East and parts of Africa, triggering waves of controlled migration to Europe and North America. In Canada, these migration patterns are often cited in discussions of multicultural policies dating back to 1965, which some critics link to broader ideas of social engineering and demographic changes as per Kalergi plan, accelerated after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

It seems that for decades, global policy has often been shaped by powerful figures working behind the scenes, while politicians on both sides act primarily as their spokespersons. Ordinary people are left as pawns in the game, shaped by prevailing narratives, occasionally critical, yet still participating in daily routines that support the status quo.

Our capacity to drive meaningful change is immense, yet it is stifled by decades of indoctrination, ignorance, and a lack of awareness. At present, we continue to perpetuate conflict, funding wars with our taxes, manufacturing devastating weapons, and fighting each other for the ambitions of unseen powers until we wake up.
