1 Million March 4 Children
On Wednesday, September 20th, activists across Canada have organized the 1 Million March 4 Children making a stand against the SOGI, (Sexual Orientation Gender Identity), curriculum from Coast to Coast across Canada. Organizers claim:” The 1 Million March 4 Children is a mission to unite humanity around a common goal of protecting children from premature sexualisation and potentially harmful indoctrination. As responsible citizens, we have a civic duty to safeguard the freedoms we’ve inherited from those who went before us, to protect the most vulnerable among us, and to promote a brighter future for generations to come. Discharging these duties requires a commitment to put the mission first, and to apply the highest ethical standards in all decisions and actions, whether online or in public spaces.”

SOGI is part of the curriculum in Canadian schools which has created much controversy and division within our communities. The government of Canada has defined SOGI as an inclusive term that applies to everyone, whether they identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two- spirit, heterosexual or cisgender. {https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/erase/sogi}

Some people also believe that SOGI is a part of the depopulation agenda as detailed in Agenda 2030 which aims to destroy traditional families and nations, divide communities and break down society. This is why it gets so much support from governments worldwide. A big supporter of Agenda 2030 is Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who, back in August of 2022 introduced the First Federal 2SLGBTQI+ Action Plan to continue building a more inclusive future with pride. To implement and develop this project, he committed 100 million CAD from the 2022 budget over the next five years.
We can already see the results as LGBTQI+ ideology and symbolism are pushed on society with rainbow crosswalks, flags, stickers, books, parades, pride events all financed with taxpayers’ dollars. Even schools and education systems are not exempt. LGBTQI+ stickers and flags decorate most schools while the curriculum includes SOGI. It has all happened suddenly, without any political, professional, or public debate.
Concerned Shuswap parents and residents will be marching in protest in Salmon Arm, gathering at 9:00 AM at City Hall. At 9:30 AM they will march towards School District #83, building SD83 at 341 Shuswap Street. After the march there will be a rally on TCH1 at the Centenoka park mall.
There will also be a protest rally in the North Shuswap gathering at the Squilax- Anglemont bridge over TCH1. Bring your signs and banners.
Superintendent of SD83 Donna Kriger has instructed schools to lock their doors in anticipation of the 1 Million March 4 Children. All school’s doors will be locked shortly after classes are in session and will remain locked all day.
It will be interesting to see how many people will get together and make a stand against the SOGI curriculum. Whatever the outcome of this march is, it is necessary to prepare for the next step to begin the conversation with the ministry of education and the local school district. Children are our future and they deserve the best from us.
