NASA will launch rockets during total eclipse
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration {NASA} informed, that will launch three sounding rockets during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. The scientists want to study the disturbances in the ionosphere created when Moon eclipse the Sun.
The sounding rockets, Atmospheric Perturbations around Eclipse Path {APEP} rockets, will launch from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia at three different times: 45 minutes before, during, and 45 minutes after the peak of eclipse.
The ionosphere is a region of Earth’s atmosphere that is between 55 to 310 miles (90 to 500 kilometers) above the ground. “It’s an electrified region that reflects and refracts radio signals, and also impacts satellite communications as the signals pass through,” said team lead Aroh Barjatya. “Understanding the ionosphere and developing models to help us predict disturbances is crucial to making sure our increasingly communication-dependent world operates smoothly.”
What exactly is the purpose, we don’t know.
“The ionosphere forms the boundary between Earth’s lower atmosphere – where we live and breathe – and the vacuum of space. It is made up of a sea of particles that become ionized, or electrically charged, from the Sun’s energy, or solar radiation. When night falls, the ionosphere thins out as previously ionized particles relax and recombine back into neutral particles. However, Earth’s terrestrial weather and space weather can impact these particles, making it a dynamic region and difficult to know what the ionosphere will be like at a given time, “official NASA website stated.
Ionosphere is on high interest to scientists for decades. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency {DARPA} is particularly very involved with many projects. One on them is High frequency Active Auroral Research Program {HAARP}, which is the world’s most capable high-power, high frequency (HF) transmitter for study of the ionosphere. The principal instrument is the Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI), a phased array of 180 HF crossed-dipole antennas spread across 33 acres and capable of radiating 3.6 megawatts into the upper atmosphere and ionosphere. Transmit frequencies are selectable in the range of 2.7 to 10 MHz, and since the antennas form a sophisticated phased array, the transmitted beam can take many shapes, can be scanned over a wide angular range and multiple beams can be formed. The facility uses 30 transmitter shelters, each with six pairs of 10 kilowatt transmitters, to achieve the 3.6 MW transmit power. People also correlate this program with weather modification.
Many people are interested to see this event, especially in the places where are the best to observe. In US will be National Guard present in Oklahoma region and others.
Officials of Niagara region already declared State of Emergency for total eclipse “out of an abundance of caution”. “Declaring a state of emergency … strengthens the tools the region has at its disposal to safeguard the health and safety of residents and visitors and protect our critical infrastructure in any scenario that might arise,” a Niagara region press release said.

There are also lots of people that connect this “natural” phenomenon with spiritual awakening, esoteric- energetic world, or Biblical prophecy. In the end, can be all the same.
