Masks requirement in healthcare facilities in BC?
As of October 3 medical masks will be required for health care workers, visitors, contractors and volunteers in patient care areas in health care facilities, programs and services.
A patient care area is any area in a health care facility that is accessible to patients, residents and clients that are accessing care.
This includes: Contracted health care facilities
Home and community care locations
Hallways
Lobbies
This does not include: Administrative areas or staff’s private offices, which are not generally accessed by patients, residents or clients.
In long-term care, visitors will be required to wear a medical mask when in common areas and when participating in indoor events in communal areas.
Ambassadors will be at facility entrances to support screening for symptoms of respiratory illnesses, hand out medical masks, and ensure people clean their hands before entering.

Health Minister Adrian Dix and provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced a series of measures meant to contain the spread of Covid-19, including reintroducing a masking requirement.
“An increase in hospital visits with the fall respiratory illness season requires measures to ensure our acute care is effective and our health-care system is strong, and that’s exactly what we’re doing,” said Minister of Health Adrian Dix.
B.C. is still awaiting deliveries of new Covid-19 vaccines and has advised everyone over the age of six months to get a Covid-19 booster and influenza vaccine.
“We are starting to see increasing respiratory virus infections in B.C., including COVID-19, and now is the time to remember the healthy habits we can all do to protect ourselves, our loved ones and our communities,” said Provincial Health Officer {PHO} Bonnie Henry.
She continued: “That includes covering your cough, cleaning your hands regularly, staying away from others if you have a cough or a fever, wearing masks if you have lingering symptoms or need extra protection and getting the updated COVID-19 and influenza vaccines.”
But there is an actual order or legal document to enforce this requirement?
July 14, 2023 Bonnie Henry terminated the mandate for vaccination status disclosure for all health care workers. As noted in the notice of termination: “ The collection and disclosure by the Colleges of vaccination status information of registrants is no longer needed to support the response to the “regional event” as described in the notice issued by me on March 17, 2020, also known as the SARS-CoV-2 public health emergency.” Vaccine mandate still remain in place.
Minister Dix and PHO Henry are now pushing the Covid 19 “vaccines” again, despite multiple studies showing their high level of toxicity and statistics that prove many people have lost their lives or were injured after immunization. Various organizations have warned about the usage of mRNA “vaccines”, including Health Florida, which has sounded the alarm on all mRNA vaccines since February 14, 2023.

Bonnie Henry has also said she does not recommend the wearing of face masks as they are not an effective way of protecting yourself. If this is the case, this new requirement is not about the health, but is a test of obedience.

Hundreds of study showed, that masks wearing can cause more harm than benefits.
The situation in British Columbia, especially in health care, can be described as chaotic, with so much money involved and so many rules and regulations for which no one takes responsibility. The province’s health bureaucrats just push through orders and rules from table to table without any logic or real communication. They are happy to do what ever is necessary to keep their highly pay jobs ignoring the high human cost of lives irrevocably changed or tragically ended.
