The “Great Reset” was the name of the 50th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum {WEF}, held in 2020. It brought WEF, political leaders, and Charles, the Prince of Wales together, with the goal of rebuilding society and the economy. WEF is an international non-government organization and was founded by German engineer and economist Klaus Schwab in 1971, who is also a current Chef executive officer {CEO}, and is based in Cologny, canton of Geneva in Switzerland.

Klaus Schwab described three main components of the Great Reset:
1. Creating the conditions for a “stakeholder economy” {long-term value creation by taking into account the needs of all their stakeholders, and society at large.}
2. Building a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable way {environmental, social, and governance metrics which would incorporate more green public infrastructures project.}
3. Harnessing the innovations of the Fourth Industrial revolution for “public good.” {including artificial intelligence, gene editing, advanced robotics, Internet of things.}
In the beginning, the Great Reset was perceived as a conspiracy theory, with big support of mainstream media. Later, after the WEF meeting in Davos in January 202 more information was released and global leaders spoke out and the public started to accept it as a general fact. Prince Charles, Prime minister of the UK Boris Johnson, U.S. President Joe Biden, and Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau publicly presented their opinion.

In 2004, Klaus Schwab also created the Forum of Young Global Leaders [YGL]. His vision was to create a proactive multistakeholder community of the world’s next-generation leaders to inform and influence decision-making and mobilize transformation. Later he founded YGL Class as a school for new participants of the program. YGL Class 2021 successfully finished 112 new Young global leaders, two from Canada: Jocelyn Formsma, Executive Director of National Association of Friendship Centres, and Liam Sobey, Vice- President of Merchandising Sobeys Inc.
Other members of YGL from Canada include Chrystia Freeland- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Karina Gould- Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Jagmeet Singh- Leader of New Democratic Party of Canada, Renée Maria Tremblay- Deputy Executive Legal Officer for Supreme Court of Canada, François-Philippe Champagne- Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.
Great Reset is a “perfect” plan created and prepared years ago. They have funds, means, world leaders, people, and organizations everywhere, including our communities. The ongoing “pandemic” seems to be a helpful tool for bringing this theory to real life.
